Supreme Badness

A while ago I blogged about Ian's habit of singing nonsense songs around the house. Tonight, as he was cooking dinner and I was computering just a room away, this little ditty was given to the world, in full operatic voice:

My, oh my, where am I? Where am Ah-yeeeee?
Tootie tee toodie too, Cody poo
My diddly doo, Cody poo

(And immediately transitioned into the theme from the cartoon "Gummy Bears," still operatic style, of course):

Candy Bars!
I ate a mini candy bar
It makes me sing today
Oh you are a candy bar!
La la la la la doo.
Onion Rings!
They are so good to me
I like to eat my onion rings
Uuuuhhhhn yuuuuun!
Classic.
*****
So then later, as I was finishing this post, our convo went like this:
Me: I need a picture of you for this post.
Ian: Use the one of me doing a wheelie on that 4-wheeler.
Me: Um, that doesn't really fit the theme here.
Ian: Doesn't matter. It illustrates my supreme badness... you can quote me on that.

I just LOVE the fact that he sings like that. The reason I love it is b/c I do the same thing - most of the time the songs are dedicated to my dogs and sung to them when we are cuddling (ALL in operatic voice, of course!). And all of us crazies like to hear about the other crazies out there too b/c then we feel "Normal". I have a friend who said she knew she had met her soulmate when he turned to her 1st thing in the morning once and sang her a little ditty about going out to breakfast. How nice that you found yours! :-)

Is there an Elmo on his helmet? He is badA.
Love that you abbrev'd convo.
Love that Ian is an amazing songwriter/singer.
Love that I am friends with you.
Hate that I have Gummy Bears theme stuck in my head now.

Supreme badness IS Ian. I love it!

Hhhm, never heard the Gummy Bears theme so I just song his song to my own tune. Catchy.

Badness, sure I'll give you that, but supreme would be reserved more for pictures of your brother in Baja. Now, 20 feet of air qualifies for the supreme title! Sorry about faux-pas of comments directed toward Ian on Laurel's blog.

I wish you could have recorded it. I would love to hear it. Maybe next time... Tell Ian to keep up the good work. How about you? Any diddies of your own?
