The Beat Goes On

Alright, boys. Pep talk: You Cubbies are first in your league's Central division. So what if you lost today to the Giants? Two out of three ain't bad. Last night's extra inning victory in SF had Cody and I jumping for joy all over the furniture a la Tom Cruis-azy; we can cope with today's little set back. No harm, no foul. But you need to get it together. (Zambrano, how you were worth $91.5 million dollars has yet to be seen. If I were under a $91.5 million contract I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have walked three players in one inning, especially after a, what-- three game break? I, however, am not under said multi million dollar contract. You are. Enough said.) The other most-totally-awesome team, the Red Sox, are also first in their league division (and overall.) You two could... go... all... the... way-ay-ay-ay. But, oh, then what would I do? My two most heartbreakingly similar underdog loves together on one series field? Well, I'd root for you, darling Cubs, for you are the nearest and dearest to my heart and have yet to make it to the championships this century... or at all during the latter half of last century for that matter. SO COME ON, cubbies! Go forth to Arizona; may the desert air fill your lungs and the Tex Mex your Midwestern bellies and empower you once again to vanquish the opposition... Go forth, dear Cubs, and keep on winning.

PS- The title of this post inspired by the newly-leaked Madonna track that you can hear (and love, beacuase she's still our girl Madge at 49) HERE.

I am completely in shock. I feel like you just revealed you are actually a moonie, instead of a mo-mo. I simply cannot believe that you like baseball.
